"Power hungry" BJP ready to swallow Kargil humiliation
9/19/2016 11:58:37 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 19: Opposition Congress has given a severe setback to ruling BJP by giving unconditional support to PDP leader Kacho Ahmed Khan, at the cost of NC but the "power hungry" BJP leaders are not ready to take up this issue with its coalition partner PDP.
Enjoying power first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP leaders are fearing that taking up issue of humiliation with PDP leaders would annoy them so it is better to bear this shame to enjoy power.
Credible sources in the BJP said that this issue was brought to the notice of BJP leaders by the Kargil unit of the party but state leadership has out-rightly rejected their objections and asked Kargil unit to maintain discipline at any cost because party has decided to ignore "humiliation". State leadership of BJP has reportedly asked its leaders not to raise this minor issue because PDP-Congress alliance at Kargil was not a big issue because enjoying power is more important than such small issue.
Credible sources said that instead of giving serious consideration to the issues raised by Kargil unit of the party, BJP's state leadership said they have nothing to lose in Kargil so it is better not to give importance to such issue.
Interestingly both Congress and National Conference have chided BJP for PDP's alliance with Congress at Kargil but the BJP leaders seem to be not interested in taking up the matter with PDP.
Prominent leader of PDP in Kargil Kacho Ahmed Khan was elected as chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil on Friday with the support of 11 Congress councilors and five Independents. PDP-Congress alliance at Kargil is more or less humiliation for the BJP because party is running in coalition with PDP in J&K but the later has formed alliance with former's arch rival Congress in Kargil.
