Rajouri, Oct 8: One day awareness-cum-sensitization workshop on 'Intellectual Property Rights' was organized at Baba Ghualm Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) at Rajouri by Micro,Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India The programme which was organized at Centre for Biodiversity Studies was started with a welcome address by Prof. G.H Dar, Dean School of Biosciences and Biotechnology, BGSB University. He extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and participants who had come from MSME-DI Jammu and various teaching departments of BGSBU. In his address, Prof. Dar emphasized the importance of Intellectual Property Rights and highlighted the need to spread their awareness and promotion. Professor A.K Kaul, Dean Academic Affairs, BGSBU, delivered the inaugural lecture, wherein he dwelt in detail on kinds of IPRs and poor status of patents in the Indian scientific community. Virinder Sharma, Director MSME- DI, Jammu, in his inaugural lecture, elaborated on the aims and objectives of the programme and also introduced the speakers. |
