Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 8: Pak sponsored terrorism and prolonged unrest unleashed by separatists in Kashmir valley has left behind many people in precarious situation because of weekly shutdown calendar issued by Geelani and others.
Sources said that after eruption of lawlessness and shutdown in the valley in July at the instance of separatist leaders thriving on the alms of their masters across the border, the condition of people belonging to different strata of society continued to deteriorate at the hands of a few separatists leading to agitation in Kashmir with employees also getting entrapped in the melee forgetting their responsibility as employees of the state government.
Reports emerging from the media indicate that state government employees also fell in the trap of separatists' mischievous designs for joining band wagon of agitators and adding fuel to the fire engulfing Kashmir valley.
Sources said that as per J&K Service Conduct Rules governing the conduct of state government employees of all categories, government servant can neither take into hand any other job during his service career nor indulge into unlawful activities like participating in anti-national protests.
During Kashmir unrest, around 200 employees have been identified as trouble mongers swayed by the dictates of separatists inviting trouble for them with government now contemplating stern action against them which may finally entail termination of their services beside punitive action, sources said. Sources further told that student community is the worst hit due to uninterrupted unrest in Valley with parents of the students landed deep in trouble and virtually failing to understand as to how the loss of academic pursuits occurred to school/college going children will be made up in the coming days.
If sources are to be believed, the extent of their mental agony can be gauged from the fact that the parents are compelled to put their children in various educational institutions in Jammu division due to continued restlessness in Kashmir. Who will be held responsible for trouble torn situation of several parents languishing for better educational future of their children, they questioned.
The deplorable plight of local transporters plying matadors, taxies, three wheelers and other mode of transport emerged at its zenith when local transporters of Kashmir came out in public domain and openly criticized the separatist leaders like Geelani and Mirwaiz Farooq before media for making their properties in crore on the one hand creating unending trouble for commoners and their families in the other hand.
Sources further said the pains and pangs of parents are vividly imaginable whose children have died or got maimed due to unbridled separatists who instigated and pushed these children to jump into anti India crusade launched by them at the behest of their foreigner dictators, they rued.
Flaying the obstinacy and arrogance of Hurriyats to perpetuate trouble in valley for their vested interests, senior citizens pleading anonymity said that except death and destruction, neither the parents of children, who mostly belong to extremely poor background nor the separatist leaders like Syed All Shah Geelani got any kind of Azadi for which lawlessness igniting restlessness was at the helm of unrest in Kashmir for more than three months.
Consequently who have practically suffered at the end of the day because of irony of flawed and anti public attitude of separatists, they asked, adding that security forces are bound by law to perform their legitimate duties for maintaining law and order and to control the trouble mongers.
Above all, the tourist industry and business class both of Jammu and Kashmir are greatly hit due to unrest in Kashmir , sources said, adding that transaction in crores got held up for all these months triggering a sense of insecurity and instability in running their business which has put them in irreparable financial losses.
Sources said that majority of peace loving people are aghast and angry with those spearheading the agitation in the valley. Not only this, the educated youth of Kashmir are up in arms against anti Kashmir policies of separatists which has brought devastation and created deadlier atmosphere in the valley making the lives of people miserable and full of dangerous consequences following prolonged disturbances and constant unrest in Kashmir, sources added. Sane section of the society is of the considered opinion that let good sense and reasonable amount of prudence prevail upon Geelani and other separatist leaders who have gone miles away from the common masses of the valley and virtually realize the futility of their misadventures launched in the Valley.
