10/8/2016 11:47:49 PM

Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 8: After facing humiliation in the Kargil Council elections, the disciplined BJP is now facing revolt in Leh also where party leaders have raised banner of revolt after nomination of four members for Leh Council.
Some dedicated party leaders, who have been associated with the party since long, have reportedly opposed decision of the party leadership to nominate new entrants as members of the Leh Council.
It is alleged that BJP Minister has announced the nominations who are not familiar in party and considered as outsiders.
Although all senior BJP leaders are tight lipped, sources said that a number of party leaders have raised banner of revolt against nominating outsiders as members of the Leh Council.
First time in the history, BJP has won election of the prestigious Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh. As per constitution of the LAHDC, four members have to be nominated by the ruling party.
It is alleged that senior party members were not taken in to confidence in this regard. Government had nominated three members including Rinchen Lhamo, wife of Tsering Motup of Leh; Advocate Mohammad Nassir, son of Mohammad Asgar of Leh and Syeda Bano (Syada Ladakhi), daughter of Haji Ghulam Ali of Chuchot Leh. However, one member of the BJP is yet to be nominated.
BJP and PDP are sharing two seats each out of the four nominations in leh council. Out of the three nominated members only Syada Ladakhi is a BJP leader and the other two are from PDP.
BJP's Kargil unit has already raised a banner of revolt against party leadership for not opposing PDP's alliance with Congress on Kargil Council. While addressing a press conference at Kargil on September 17, BJP leaders had criticised Ladakh affairs minister.
They said, "Alliance of PDP-Congress was a kind deception against BJP as it is already running coalition government in the state. Even Our deputy chief minister is not aware about it".
