Jammu, Oct 8: Daffodils Care Convent Pre School, Jain Bazaar today celebrated Ram Navami and Vijyadashmi ( Dussehra) with great pomp and show .
The celebration started with chanting of Gayatri Mantra .
A short "Ram Leela Play" was performed by the kids. Depicting the scene when Lord Rama was leaving for Banvaas and his parents, relatives and his country people were not allowing them to leave. Everyone cried loudly when Lord Rama left Ayodhya.
A colorful Jhanki showing nine Avratra was the main attraction of the show. An effigy of Ravan was also burnt by Lord Rama during the celebration. The Chief Guest, Narinder Gupta, Chairperson of the school appreciated the hard work put up by the staff and children to perform so well. Principal, Shikha Puri conveyed the message of truthfulness, obedience and do good to others. |
