Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 8: Two days after the Naugam operation, Indian Army released images of various items including Grenades, explosives recovered from terrorists.
Two days after the four militants were killed while trying to infiltrate from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), Indian Army on Saturday said that the grenades, explosives and other materials recovered from terrorists killed in Naugam operation confirmed Pakistan's connection.
The army, during the intervening night of October five and six foiled three infiltration bids along the LoC - two in Naugam sector and one in Rampur - of North Kashmir, killing four terrorists.
"Four terrorists were eliminated by Army on the LoC in Naugam sector on 06 Oct 16. Pakistan Ordinance factory markings on the hand grenades and the UBGL grenades recovered from the terrorists, confirms Pakistan complicity in abetting and equipping terrorism," said Northern Command in the release posted on its official Twitter account.
"The hand grenades recovered are ARGES 84 which are manufactured by Pakistan Ordinance Factory. Pakistan origin markings are also seen on the medicines and eatable items recovered," the release said.
"A large number of highly inflammable material, like six plastic explosive slabs, bottles of petroleum jelly, six bottles of inflammable liquid and six lighters were also recovered. Similar
inflammable material was recovered at Poonch Incident of 11 September and Uri Incident of 18 September," it added.
Stating that this showed the sinister design of Pakistan to aid terrorists in causing maximum destruction, the Northern Command also listed other items recovered from the terrorists including- 1) AK 47 Rifles - 04 (2) Magazine AK 47- 16 (3) AMN -349 Rds (4) Radio set- 1 (5) GPS- 1 (6) Binocular- 1 (7) Wire cutter -2 (8) Samsung mobile - 1 (9) Rain Ponchos & Haversack- 4(each) (10) First Aid kit (11) Clothing and eatable items.
The infiltration bids came barely a day after National Security Advisor Ajit Doval reportedly briefed the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) that the Pakistani army had mobilised about 100 terrorists across the LoC to push them into India to carry out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian army had carried out surgical strikes on September 29, crossing over the LoC in Kupwara sector in the Kashmir Valley and Poonch in Jammu region, destroying launch pads meant for terrorists. It was believed that nearly a dozen terrorists were killed in Kel, Lipa and Bhimber Gali and given a quiet burial.
