Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8 : A man, his wife and a sister were today denied bail by the first additional sessions judge, Jammu, in a fraud case. Rajan Bhan, son of M L Bhan of Rehari Colony, his wife Jyoti Bhan and sister Ranjana Bhan were alleged to have duped one Roop Singh, son of Mahinder Singh Wazir, of Rs 4 lakh. In his complaint lodged with Gandhi Nagar police station, Roop alleged that Sanjay Bhan and his family members -- Rajan Bhan, Ranjana Bhan, Jyoti Bhan and Simmi Bhan - all residents of Rehari Colony, had deliberately committed a fraud with him. He said the family took a loan of Rs 4 lakh from him on April 8, 2016 with the promise to return the amount by May 8, 2016 with an interest of Rs 13,400. They invested the money in Recova Biotech Private Ltd, but did not return his money. Taking a cognizance of his complaint, police registered a case against the accused under section 420 of RPC. After hearing the APP, who resisted the bail application, first additional session judge M A Choudhary observed that the custodial interrogation of the accused was not unwarranted. The applicants, who were accused of cheating the complainant, were not entitled to be admitted to bail in anticipation of arrest. With these observations, the court rejected their bail application.
