1599 Kanals & 15 Marlas of state land retrieved in Thakrakote

REASI, Oct 8: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Tehsildar Thakrakote, Rajesh Baru has retrieved over 1599 Kanals of State land from encroachers who had illegally encroached upon it since decades.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi has categorically directed all the Revenue Officers in the district to remove all encroachments on State Kahcharai and common lands and further directed to remain vigilant against such encroachments in near future.
Taking cognizance of the directions, Tehsildar Thakrakote sought a report from Naib Tehsildar Thakrakote who after conducting proper enquiry and scrutiny of relevant revenue record submitted a detailed factual report regarding illegal encroachments and illegal entries in the revenue records.
Based on the recommendations of the field staff and after providing opportunities of being heard to all encroachers, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Thakrakote in exercise of powers vested in him under section 133 of Land Revenue Act passed orders to evict all the encroachers who have illegally encroached upon the state land and further directed filed staff to remove illegal entries from the revenue records as well.
Tehsildar further instructed the field staff to remain vigilant in their respective areas and report immediately in case of encroachments found if any on State, Kahcharari or common lands.
Pertinent to mention here that Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Thakrakote has been awarded "Certificate of Honour" by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi on this Independence Day for his exemplary services including removal of encroachments on 8737 Kanals of State, Kahcharai and Common land besides achieving various other targets like almost 100 percent seeding of Aadaar Cards and 100 percent progress under NFSA, collection of more than one lakh Rupees donations under Red Cross and updation and binding of all Revenue Records of Tehsil Thakrakote and conduct of various Public Grievances Redressal Camps in far flung and hilly areas of the Tehsil.
