Jammu, Oct 24: A suspended General Manager (GM) of J&K State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) has reportedly made transfers of some half a dozen employees. What is more surprising, however, is that the orders issued by the incumbent MD are gathering dust. According to an order, pending enquiry into the matter, the following officers viz I/C General Manager (Operations), Jammu Arshad Ahmad Tramboo, I/C MPS, Jammu Tejinder Singh and I/C Doda Depot, are placed under suspension with immediate effect. The order (no. 097-JKRTC/MD of 2016) was issued by the MD. Even as he remained under suspension, the GM (ops) made transfers on October 17, 2016 by virtue of the order no. 2810-GMO of 2016. According to the order, six officials are posted and adjusted. Ironically, on the same day (Oct 17) the MD issued an order (No.100-JKSRTC/MD of 2016) for transfers of 10 officials. It is however yet to be implemented. Officials of JKSRTC wondered how was it possible for a suspended official to order transfers while the MD's order remains unimplemented. "This shows a 'nexus' prevails in the Corporation which is handling all affairs," the officials said. "As per order of the GM, senior assistants have been ignored and junior assistant has been promoted as Booking Manager TCU (P) interstate division Narwal, Jammu. It is again in violation of the norms and regulations," they said. When contacted, JKSRTC's MD, GA Sofi said that he would look into the matter. |
