Jammu, Oct 24: Mother Helpage Organisation today distributed scholarships to orphan students to help them in their studies. Mother Helpage had organized a camp in collaboration with Swabhimaan Charitable Trust wherein 9 orphan students from poor families were chosen to receive a scholarship of 1000 per month till they achieve 18 years of age.Mother Helpage has been working in the social sector since 1993 and this is for the first time that they have given scholarships in Jammu Region. Vikram Malhotra, Chairman, Swabhimaan Charitable Trust thanked Mother Helpage for extending a helping hand to the needy. He said that we would appreciate any help extended to the poor and under privileged people of the State. He further added thattSwabhimaan Charitable Trust will always encourage and facilitate any effort by Mother Helpage in extending its policies and programmes to the people of Jammu which are for the benefit of poor and suffering. Rayees Ahmad, Sponsorship Manager for Mother Helpage while interacting with the parents of the beneficiaries said that his organization has a lot of plans to help the poor and the under privileged in the State especially for the Jammu Region and they will soon open an office in Jammu to reach out to the needy. He also thanked SCT for identifying most deserving beneficiaries He lauded Swabhimaaan Charitable Trust for Yeoman Service to the community and assured all possible help in future.The beneficiaries included were Aman Mehra, Rudrakshi , Naman, Prince, Anshika, Shivani, Sunidhi, Lakshya and Armaan Thakur. Others who present were Avneet Kaur, Project Coordinator , Swabhimaan Charitable Trust, Miss. Kritika and Arif, Volunteer, Mother Helpage. |
