Various trade unions join to espouse common cause

Jammu, Oct 24: A day long joint session of various trade unions viz J&K National Trade Union Front, J&K Employees and Workers Federation, Indian National Trade Union, J&K State Teachers association, J&K ITI Employees United Front, JDA Employees workers union was held to press for their burning demands.
The meeting after thread bare discussion unanimously decided to constitute a joint united platform of various trade unions of the state under the name and style "J&K Govt. Employees, Casual Labours, Workers, & Pensioners United Platform (JKGECWPUP)".
While addressing the press conference Mohammad Gafoor Dar, S. Kulwant Singh, Comrade Hari Singh, Shiv Kumar Sharma declared that one day program of massive protest demonstration will be organized on 8th of November 2016 in front of Divisional Commissioner Office Panama Chowk, Jammu to focus the attention of state government towards the burning issued of regularization policy for 60,000 causal labours of various departments and implementation of 7th pay commission to the State government employees and workers in the state.
The united platform leaders appealed to the casual labours of all the departments including state governments employees workers and pensioners to participate the protest demonstration on 8th of November 2016 in at Panama Chowk Jammu to press the State Government for immediate settlement of the demands.
All Jammu province casual / need based workers union Power Development Department (PDD), All J&K PHE ITI and CP Workers association, Floriculture casual labour union, Command area employees union, J&K Social Forestry employees union, Library employees union, J&K Sports Council employees union, J&K Cultural Academy employees union, J&K legal metrology association, J&K Govt School officers association , Jammu wild life employees union, including casual labour of health and medical education, PWD casual labour union was held in Jammu under the presidium of Mohammad Gafoor Dar, S. Kulwant Singh, Comrade Hari Singh, Veteran trade union leader Shiv Kumar Sharma, PC Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Shakti Gupta, Raj Singh, Shahid Hussain, Subash Chander, Shesh Kumar .
The house elected Gafoor Dar as convener S. Kulwant Singh as secretary and Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma as Finance Secretary of the United platform.
Those who are present in the meeting were Vikramjeet Singh, Paramjit Singh, Mohinder Singh, Pran Ditta, Manohar Lal, Gurmail Singh, Baldev Ram, Vishal Choudhary, Sanjeev Kumar.
