Meanwhile eight persons were held in Surankote of Poonch for their alleged involvement in a murder case. 10/20/2012 12:42:03 AM
Jammu: Senior BJP leader and MLA Ashok Khajuria while reacting sharply, said that NC-Congress coalition should stop using people like Syed Ali Shah Geelani to repeat the history. Khajuria while reacting to Geelani opposing the construction of road to the holy cave of Baba Amarnath ji, said that it has become a matter of routine for the Kashmir based political parties and separatist organizations to make such statements which are aimed at pleasing the Kashmiris and...

Committees, commissions, inquiry panels no answer to deep rooted corruption?
10/20/2012 12:41:24 AM
Syed Junaid Hashmi JAMMU, Oct 19: With Chief Minister Omar Abdullah having virtually given up on fighting corruption tooth and nail, IAS Babus have made committees, commissions, inquiry panels and societies order of the day. Further, none seems to have told Omar Abdullah that reports of innumerable commissions and committees are lying in the record rooms of Journalists, Legislators and legal luminaries. Nothing has changed in Jammu and Kashmir. Callousness is so deep rooted that officers indicted i...

The cops, who did not hesitate in sacrificing their lives to protect the lives of the people, deserve to be saluted by one and all but what about the cops who have not hesitated in taking law in their hands.
