11/4/2010 11:50:20 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 4: In Kashmir, people involved in sex scams are important for the government and the dissident leadership. The government seems to have a soft corner for people involved in sex scams. A few years ago when Hurriyat leadership talked to the prime Minister, the issue of release of prisoners was raised. Responding to Hurriyat appeal, the government of India directed the state government to release two persons. One among them is a genuine political activist and the other was behind the bars for his involvement in Handwara sex scam. Hurriyat Conference alone knows how and why his release was taken up at the highest level. Five years down the line, nothing seems...

EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 4: The winter capital of the state witnessed one more 'episode' of so called protest and opposition to the presence of separatist leader , this time the moderate Shabir Shah while he was echoing his views in a press conference. This certainly made news, at least for media and a 'tamasha' for the onlookers , enacted just by a handful of activists, all for the sake of patriotism and love for motherland. The patriotic fervour and respect for mother India by the BJP or its yoth organsiation BJYM can not be questioned nor is there any dispute in their love for the soil of Jammu, the main reason the protestors gave for not allowing the separatist leaders to raise ...

11/4/2010 11:45:49 PM
RUSTAM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 4: As for Radha Kumar, who suggested constitutional amendment in order to accommodate the "Azaadi" demand, she is a votary of self-governance, of course, with some changes here and there in the self-rule doctrine as advocated by the People's Democratic Party. In fact, her concept of self-governance is almost similar to the one that was advocated by former Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf and adopted by the APHC-M and the People's Democratic Party with much fanfare. Just look at the small booklet, titled "Framework for a Kashmir Settlement", published none other than by The Peace Processes Program, Delhi Policy Group. Radha Kumar is a Trust...
