| Govt committed to uplift rural masses: Wani | | | |

DODA, May 10 : The government is committed to provide all basic facilities to the people living in rural and far flung areas of the state to uplift their living conditions at par with urban areas, stated Minister for PWD (R&B) Mr. Abdul Majid Wani while addressing a mammoth public gathering in Jodhpur, Doda.
While inspecting the damage caused by the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the region on 1st of May 2013, Wani said that survey is going on in the entire district at block, tehsil and village level to assess the actual damage caused to quake hit areas. He said said that Chief Minister has already sanctioned Rs. 25 crore for earthquake hit areas for prompt restoration of public services besides announcing three months free ration for the affected families. He said that the government has geared up all its machinery to provide timely relief to the affected families.

SRINAGAR, May 10 : Minister for Rural Development Panchayati Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the officers should ensure that the Panchayat Ghars of the Valley should be completed as soon as possible for the augmentation of the infrastructural assets of the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
