| Politician lands in controversies for illegal construction, timber smuggling | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 21: A high profiles politician from Kalakote tehsil of Rajouri lands in controversies for his name allegedly surfacing in illegal construction and timber smuggling in the area, sources from Kalakote said. Sources said that a complaint against this high profiled politician is reportedly dispatched to Chief Minister's Secretariat for action. According to sources, the said politician has allegedly grabbed the land in close vicinity of Coal mining field in Kalakote Rajouri and then started illegal construction. However the matter was taken to the notice of J&K Mineral Department and Geological and Mining Department. Meantime a complaint was also lodged with the concerned police station by locals alleging the high profile politician involved covertly in unauthorized construction at mining site. Meanwhile, a senior police officer, based on anonymity, said that the complaint is being looked into. "Apart from illegal construction, the name of said politician was allegedly surfaced in timber smuggling,' sources said. Pertinently following a complaint that the said politician was indulged felling of 'green gold' in village Mal Gujran Sui, the forest guards who were dispatched at the residence of the politician by senior forest officer but failed to take action as the clefts/sleepers were allegedly shifted from the said place to the residence of servant of the politician in some other locality. When contacted to senior forest officer of Rajouri confirmed the reports of visiting forest guard at the residence of politician and said that matter is apprised to senior officer.
