Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 27: Stressing need for enhancing the Income Tax exemption limit from RS. 2 Lakh to Rs. 5 lakh for salaried class and common man, president of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri today urged upon the Union Finance Minister to make announcement in this regard when the union budget for 2013-14 is presenting in the coming budget session of parliament. Addressing a well attended NMC activists rally here, Shastri said that with price rise and inflation with every salaried class/common man is facing a lot of economic hardships, adding that raising Income Tax limit to Rs, 5 Lacs would be genuine measures to provide some relief to salaried class. Shastri also demanded an early release of 9% DA due from Jan 1, 2013 in favour of both central and State Govt. employees and pensioners. Pleading the cause of both Central and State Govt. employees and pensioners. Shastri further pleaded for immediate constitution of the 7th pay commission with provision for simultaneous implementation of its recommendation in favor of the central and state Governments staff of the country.
