| Beigh held secret meet with Azad at Delhi residence ….. | | PDP-Congress in constant touch….? | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Jan 27: Someone has rightly said "Nothing is permanent in politics--- neither the friends nor the enemies." And the same fits for the People’s Democratic Party and Congress relationships in Jammu and Kashmir. PDP-Congress once the two coalition partners in past like National Conference-Congress in present time, there was sourness in the relationship between the Congress and PDP after they (PDP) withdraw the support from Azad government in wake of aftermath of Amarnath land row and for all this the then Chief Minister and presently Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad put whole blame of controversy and fall out of his government on his deputy Muzzafar Hussain Beigh. But as already mention that "Nothing is permanent in politics--- neither the friends nor the enemies" and if the sources within the PDP and Congress could be believed, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh of PDP held a secret meeting with Ghulam Nabi Azad at his Delhi residence on 10th of December 2012. The sources said that the meeting between Beigh and Azad comes in wake of a statement issued by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hinting at NC, Congress alliance in Jammu and Kashmir before 2014 election. Omar statement gets more wattage once Congress-NC coalition sweeps all the four MLC seats under Panchayat quota. After feeling heat of possible coalition alliances, PDP expedited its resources within the Congress party so as to check the mind of Congress leadership about the announcement made by Omar Abdullah who also happens to be the working President of National Conference. The sources said that Azad-Beigh one on one meet held during late hours when Azad was alone at home bearing few of his close confidents. The sources said that Azad during his meeting with Muzaffar Beigh cleared his stand on announcement made by the Omar Abdullah. The sources said that Azad informed the Beigh that Congress has so far did not make his mind regarding pre poll alliance in Jammu and Kashmir before 2014 election. The sources further added that Azad though informed the Beigh about possible alliance in MP elections, but cleared that Congress party has no such plan for pre poll alliance for 2014 state assembly elections. The sources further added that two senior PDP leaders also meet Azad at Delhi in first week of January 2013. The sources added that many senior Congress leaders both at center as well as in state including Azad are not happy over handing over of full six year Chief Ministership tenure to Omar Abdullah and the aim and objective this meeting is said to be that the Congress party wants to keep its both option open, beside to play a king maker role in upcoming government. . |
