Republic day celebrated across Jammu region with fervour, Enthusiasm

Jammu, Jan 27:The 64 Republic Day was celebrated with national enthusiasm and gaiety in Jammu by various social, political, employees, Traders and other organization yesterday.
As per press release, NMC: President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri hoisted flag in the presence of traders of Pacca Danga and Moti Bazar unfurled tricolor at Pacca Danga Chowk. B.S.Jamwal (Ex.D.C.Samba) was presided over the function. Prominent social activist Rajinder Kumar (Raju) President of the Shri Sanatan Dharma Natak Samaj, Sat Pal Sanmotra and Rajan Babu Khajuria were the guest of honours. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Subash Shastri threw light on the importance of Republic Day. He paid rich tribute to the heroes of country freedom struggle who scarifies their life for the nation. Jai Dev Singh, Surrinder Kumar, Krishan Lal Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Kochhar and others.
RMC: R M College of Education, Management and IT, Sainik Colony also celebrated R, day. Trustee of the college Rita Mengi, Principal of the College P.K. Dhar, staff members and students were present on the occasion and unfurled the national flag.
SMVD: Another function was held at SMVD University, Naveen K Choudhary, the principal secretary to the Governor, and officiating as the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. V. Verma, the senior most Dean of the university unfurled the national flag.
Prof. Verma speaking in the occasion greeted one and all present on the occasion and said that the day when the Republic of India came into being is a day of great introspection for one and all making everyone feel more responsible for their actions.
GPW : Staff members and students of Government Polytechnic for Women (GPW), Jammu also celebrated Republic Day. Following unfurled of tricolor the students and staff members of college actively participated in the function and sung patriotic songs.
CBI: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in which Dr Armaandeep Singh, SSP, CBI hoisted the national flag and took salute from CRPF.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Armaandeep Singh complimented the staff on the 64th Republic Day. Speaking on the occasion he stressed upon professionalism, transparency and use of science and technology in the working so that the organization in general and Jammu branch in particular rises to high levels of endeavor and achievement.
MWC: Mohalla Welfare Committee (MWC) of Ward number 18 under its President Kuldeep Magotra and office bearers hoisted the national flag. Kuldeep Magotra, in his address, said that to achieve this, our ancestors had made supreme sacrifices while fighting against the British with only one mission of getting the motherland free from the clutches of the British rule.
JKCA: Jammu and Kashmir Christian Association (JKCA) has also hoisted national flag at Residency road. Earlier they taken out rally under the leadership of Advocate Waris Gill and the flag was hoisted by National Conference provincial president Davinder Singh Rana. On the occasion other prominent leaders of NC were present.
JKGS: Babita Rana, President, Jammu and Kashmir Gorkha Sabha (JKGS) traditionally unfurled national flag at Gorkakh Nagar. She greeted the Gorkha community and all the residents of state on the occasion of 64 th Republic day. On the occasion, she also distributed blankets to the needy people.
VSK : VSK Higher Secondary School, Mishriwala, observed 64 th Republic day on yesterday in which large number of locals were participated. Principal of School unfurled tricolor, school children presented various cultural items. School administration also distributed sweets among the children.
LOC Rajouri : Republic Day has been celebrated near Near LOC in Government School Panjgrian Chamba which is located near Line of Control in Tarkundi sector. School Management in collaboration with 43 Rashtriya Rifles battalion held the programme. The School is located in Tarkundi sector just few kilometres from India-Pakistan border and falls under Actual Line of Control area. School students sung national anthem and presented colourfull cultural items which were warmly appreciated by hundredes of people including panches and sarpanches of the area. Students were presented with gift items for their participation in the programme.
VIK: Vivekananda Institutes Kathua (VIK) celebrated 64thRepublic Day, cultural Programme was also organized which aimed to emphasize the importance of the constitution and the relevance of the day. Dr. Bharat Bhushan, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kathua was Chief Guest. Vivekananda Institutes, Dr. Anju Sharma Principal, staff, Students & Parents of students besides a large enthusiastic crowd from the adjoining areas of the College. Programme started with unfurling of the National Flag and singing of National Anthem. Speaking on the occasion he said it is important that we spend this day as not just any other holiday in the calendar. Republic Day should be approached as any other cultural festival by every Indian and celebrated with pump & gaiety.
GHSS Pargwal Akhnoor: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Pargwal in collaboration with other schools of the adjoining areas celebrated the 64th Republic Day in its school premises.
Tehsildar (Agrarian) Akhnoor Ram Lal Sharma, who was the chief guest unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the impressive march past from the students of different schools. School Principal Prem
Nath welcomed the guests. Cultural programme was also presented by school children based on patriotism. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest greeted the people on this auspicious day and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Inderwal: The 64th Republic Day was celebrated in Inderwal Constituency with traditional gaiety and fervor. A functions was held at Saroor area of Inderwal Constituency where the Army 8RR Bimalnag Company Commander unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the March past by the contingents of STF, ARMY, JKAP, JKP, Forest Protection Force, NCC cadets and students of different institutions.
Addressing the gathering, the Commander paid tributes to the freedom fighters and highlighted their contribution for attaining freedom to India from British.
DHSS: Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri (DHSS) Nagar, Jammu celebrated the 64th Republic Day in the school premises. The national flag was unfurled by the principal Gambhir Dev Singh Charak.
He stressed on the students and staff to work with full dedication to achieve the goal of success and better future of the students in building strong the nation.
Hiranagar: The 64th republic day was celebrated by SVS Degree College, GGDJ College of Education Chan Arorian, Tehsil Hiranagar under SVS Charitable Trust. The flag hoisting ceremony followed by National Anthem was done by MLC Subash Chander Gupta along with Prof. R.L Sharma Principal S.V.S Degree Chan Arorian. All students, staff were present on this occasion. The students presented a cultural programme compressing of skit, songs highlighting the love for the country. The programme was appreciated by the Chief Guest and whole gathering of about 5000 people of surrounding villages.
BST: Bharat Swabhiman Trust (BST) organized a function at Jammu. Trust state president Bansi lal Sharma who was unfurled the National flag along with the large number of Trust supporters and others were also present. Speaking on the occasion Bansi lal Sharma greeted the people on the auspicious day and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
RWF: Rail Wheel Factory (SEPERATE) 64th Republic day was celebrated at Rail Wheel Factory Stadium on a grand scale. Rajeev Bhargava, General Manager, Rail Wheel Factory, unfurled national Flag. Speaking on the occasion he remembered the sacrifices of our freedom fighters for giving us a country with an enlightened constitution. He also said, that Rail Wheel Factory has made spectacular progress and he was pleased about the sincere and dedicated efforts of the work force throughout the year that has contributed significantly in the overall progress of RWF which in-turn has helped in the process of nation-building.
JTC: S.L. Pandita President JTC and Soan Kashmir Front J&K unfurled National Flag at Jagti Nagrota in lane No. 16 near Block-74 Park on the eve of Republic Day the 26th of January 2013 and Rajidner Dhar Youth President unfurled the National Flag near Block No 132 and consecutively Vijay Pandita General Secretary unfurled the National Flag near Block-53. S.L. Pandita have shown great respect to the Nation and have expressed his views that one should obey the prestige of our Nation.
Udhampur: Republic Day was celebrated with high esteem, patriotic spirit and great Enthusiasm at District, Tehsil, Block and Niabat headquarters by saluting and hoisting Tricolor and paying tributes to the frontline leaders and heroes of freedom struggle.
Chenani: the Republic Day main function was held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Chenani. MLA Chenani, Krishan Chander Bhagat was the chief guest on the occasion who Unfurled Tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents drawn from various schools of the tehsil.
Basantgarh: Republic Day function was organized at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Basantgarh premises in which huge number of people and employees participated.Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dudu-Basantgarh, Krishan Lal Sharma who was the chief guest on the occasion unfurled the National flag and took salute. The SDM distributed note books among the students who participated in different events during the pogramme. Sarpanches, Panches, government officials and large numbers of people were present on the occasion.
Majalta: R- Day function was celebrated with gaiety and patriotism in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Majalta where Tehsildar, Majalta, Aamir Choudhary hoisted the National flag and took salute at the march past of contingents drawn from various educational institutions. On the occasion, a colorful cultural programmes was also presented by the school children which was highly liked by the audience.
Panchari: Naib Tehsildar, Panchari hoisted National flag in the premises of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Panchari, where large number of school students and local people were present to witness the function.
Ramnagar: MLA, Ramnagar, Harsh Dev Singh, hoisted the Tricolor at a main function held in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar and took salute at the march past presented by the Police, NCC and students of various educational institutions. The Chief Guest also distributed trophies among the participating contingents of March Past and cultural programme.
Dudu: Kaka Ram Naib tehsildar hoisted the National Flag. In which large number of school students and local people were present to witness the function.
NMC: New Modern College celebrated Republic Day in the college campus. The celebration commenced with unfurling of the National flag by the Chairman of the college Tarun Bahl. The National anthem was recited by everyone present in the college. The Chairman in his speech greeted everyone and said that Republic Day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the constitution of India.
“It is the day to remember when the country’s constitution came into force on January 26, 1950 completing the country’s transition towards becoming an independent republic. The students of the college participated in the celebration by dancing and singing on patriotic songs focusing on the history and culture of India. Parade was carried out by the students and Chairman of the college took the salute” he said.
YKS: Yuva Kalyan Samiti also celebrated Republic day at Radio Station Chowk Panjtirthi Jammu. Large number of workers and common citizens took part in the function. After hoisting the national flag the President of the Samiti Sanjay Rakwal said that for every Indian it is a great day today. We all should fight against evils of corruption nepotism and dishonesty to make India us strong country.
