JAMMU, Jan 27: The star-studded side of Chacha Makhni Cricket Club (CMCC) registered a seven-wicket win over Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor in the inaugural match of the 2nd Ravi Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Club played at Government High School, Satwari Cantonment, here today. Batting first, Singh Club bowled out for 119 runs in 19.4 overs. In reply, the target was chased by CMCC in 19.4 overs for the loss of three wickets. Ginni and Sunil were top scorers with 28 and 27 runs respectively. From CMCC, Sahil Bhalwal clinched three wickets, followed by Ram Dayal, who took two. Parveen Singh and Bandeep Sharma shared a piece each. Later, CMCC attained the goal making 120 runs in 19.4 overs with seven wickets in hand. Jatin remained top scorer with 44 runs while Bandeep added 32. Sahil remained unbeaten at 14. From Singh Club, Sham, Atul and Sunny shared three wickets. For his all-round performance, Sahil was declared man of the match. Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Minister for Housing, Raman Bhalla, who was chief guest in the opening function. He appreciated the organizers, Cantonment Cricket Club, especially, Vijay Choudhary and Parshotam Singh, for the initiative.
