Jammu, Mar 20: Jammu Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF) has described the drama the issue raked by main stream parties, moving resolution in the Legislative Assembly for the returning of mortal remains of Afzal Guru as mere drama.
According to press release, Davinder Singh Behal stated that the main stream parties were trying to do business on the body of the innocent. "These people only discussed and passed only those Bills and resolutions which are backed by New Delhi" he said. He further described J&K Assembly as as powerless, adding that the rejection of resolution seeking mortal remains of Afzal Guru as condemnable and unconstitutional and mere an eye-wash. JKSPF strongly condemned the house arrest of Sayeed Ali Shah Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and others. General Secretary Sheikh Sajjad said that Govt. of India should immediately release Masarat Alam and youths languishing in jails.
Vikas Kumar, Gurdeep Singh, Avtar Singh, Raj Kumar, Mohan Lal, Iqbal Choudhary, Sohan Kumar, Ram Lal were also present in the meeting. |
