| NC shows signs of party bereft of political understanding | | | ET Plus Report JAMMU, Mar 20: NC feeling politically heat the ground and being docked by PDP in a desperate measure to find some opening to make it relevant from being redundant is trying to invent to an issue, And it has find one though a flimsy one. Without checking record and even bothering to see for it self,as stated by the BJP leadership itslef has invented an allegation that BJP president Jugal Kishore had tried to assault Sakina Itoo. The bare fact, BJP leadership insists, remains that Jugal only had a heated exchange. It's just normal in a parliamentary debates. Even chief minister made a vocal and loud speech when PDP tried to disrupt him. So does it mean that Omar Abdullah would presumably attack PDP members if one goes by the logic of NC. By the NC logic he may have. To rake up the issue it 's calling for barring him from contesting the elections. But did NC say so for engineer Rashid who had been constantly challenging the Indian constitution and speaking the language of Jamat-e-Islami. Did CM ever intervened and made a statement about his behavior the manner in which he made about verbal dual . The assembly record plainly speak he didn't. His silence, which some presume as deliberate, becomes more interesting as Cong minister and MLAs have questioned the wisdom of speaker in allowing him to be present in the House and stall its proceedings from the day go. The NC is now holding state wise protests. There is one definite pattern in it. Jugal Kishore represent the constitutency which is being eyed by Devidner Singh Rana. He is trying to kill two birds with one but in the process hurting the political interests of Congress. He is trying to deflect the attention from PDP, tyring to make him room into the constituency but in the process is reinventing BJP which had been reduced to just four members after the expulsion of seven members and in the process costing Cong costly. The entire premise of agitations and protests are too flimsy. It will not have any takers in Valley where theparty has main base and it will not gain anything in Jammu, where its is bound to find it difficult to retain six seats. NC is behaving like a party bereft of political knowledge and it would cost it dearly.
