Kathua, Mar 20: A girl Suman Badyal hailing from village Muthi Jageer of district Kathua has brought laurels for district by clinching gold medal in state level weight lifting championship, in 63 kg category, held at Jammu. Suman's father is a labourer, who became source of inspiration for her to go for sports. Speaking about lack of basic facilities at Kathua sports stadium, she rued that due to lack of basic facilities at Kathua sports stadium, she had to go Jammu for weight lifting and boxing practice, which was a very costly affair for her. |
