JKTF appeals CM to concede their long pending demands

Kathua, Jul 28: After threadbare deliberations in one day convention, Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum passed an academic resolution appealing chief minister Omar Abdullah to take necessary steps to concede their long pending demands.
The suggestions made by Forum members included rationalization of all posts of lecturers, Masters and Teachers on priority, starting LKG Class in government schools, exams conducted at primary level particularly class-I, filling all vacant posts of lecturers, masters, teachers in all intuition, free distribution of text books, moral education must be introduced as a subject in all schools at various levels, creation of separate directorate for primary education to strength the primary base, proper monitoring mechanism of all schools through a permanent school education wing, 50%, 50% Female and Male staff in all co-education schools.
"Taking teachers unions into confidence, while introducing the free text books and syllabus at various levels in schools. Transparent and corruption free transfer policy with one year stay in hilly areas zonal level students/ teachers. Conference to strengthen the base, strengthen examination system by appointing the vigilance squads and honest superintendent to prevent the copying systems, use of CC cameras in all examination centers, packed dry food/ fruits may be provided to all children in place of MDM or handing over the entire MDM to other agency other than teachers", Forum suggestions included. They also demanded that an independent examination board should be constituted to conduct the examination at primary level, coaches in physical education department should be provided in all games at district level, filling of all vacant posts of Physical education lecturers, Physical education Zonal officers at the state level and creation of new physical education masters post in all schools upgraded under RMSA. In the second session Surjeet Singh was nominated as zonal president zone Barnoti and he was authorized to constitute the zonal body for Barnoti Zone.
Those who spoke on this occasion were S. Surjeet Singh, S. Parveen Singh, S. Puran Singh, Amar Nath Takur, Mohd. Sadiq, Balbir Singh, Kuldeep singh PEM, Subash Sharma , Kamal Kumar, Tara Mani, Nagesh Singh Head Master, Bharat Bhushan, Om Parkash Singh, Manohar Kumar and others.
