Srinagar, Aug 11: As part of 'Operation Sadhbhavana' the Pir Panjal Brigade orgainised a 'National Integration Tour' to Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad for 14 days for 24 youths from August 10 to 24. According to a defence communiqué the tour was flagged-off by Commander Pir Panjal Brigade at Rampur in a glittering ceremony which was attended by a number of civil dignitaries, family members of the participants and locals. "This unique initiative by the Indian Army is with the aim to give adequate exposure to the youth of Kashmir valley and introduce them to the diversity and rich socio-cultural heritage of our nation," he said. The members during the conduct of the tour will visit the places of military, historical interests at Pune, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. They will be visiting Aga Khan Palace, National War Museum, Patealeshwar Caves, Munshi Lake and Dam, Saras Garden, Raja Dinakar Kelkar Museum, Bund Garden, Vishram Bagh Waada, St. Mary's Church, Parvati Hill Temple, Jawarharlal Nehru International Stadium, Shinde's Chhatri Katraj Snake Park, Chaupati, Marine Drive, Mumba Devi temple, Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Hotel, Elephanta Caves, Fashion Street Near CST, Mumbai Film City, visit to film studio, Essel World, Hazi Ali Mosque, Nehru Planetarium, visit to Bandra Worli Sea Link, Hanging Garden, Ahmedabad Hathe Singh Temple, Jama Masjid, Ahmad Shah Mosque and Sabarmati Ashram besides other places of tourist interest. During the visit they would also be interacting with various important dignitaries. |
