Mendhar, Aug 11: To motivate and educate the elders hailing from remote and far flung areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts, Army's Romeo Force is organising a tour for 24 volunteer elders to Lucknow and Agra for 10 days from August 11 to 19. "The tour is aimed at giving exposure to the elders about varied developments that are taking place in rest of the country and to introduce them to plethora of cultures, people and landscapes of our nation. The exposure is unique for the elders. The tour was flagged off by commander 13 sector Rashtriya Rifles from Basoni," a defence statement said. "The elders are extremely enthusiastic and excited about the forthcoming tour as they are crossing the boundaries of J&K for the first time. They will interact with number of dignitaries from various strata of the Indian society," it added. |
