Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 3: Police along with Drugs Controller Budgam on Tuesday cancelled the Drug license of two chemists for selling expired and government supply medicine to public. Besides, police arrested three persons for criminal misappropriation of government rice meant for general public. A police spokesman in a statement issued said that Budgam Police in coordination with Assistant Controller Drugs Budgam inspected 15 medical shops in Budgam today. "The drug license of two medical shops Alshafa Medicate and Lifeline Medicate has been cancelled as they were found selling expired medicines and government medical supplies to public," the spokesman said. Meanwhile, Budgam Police learnt that two persons Shabir Ahmad Ganai son of Ali Mohammad and Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir son of Ghulam Hassan both residents of Chandapora were black marketing government rice meant for public distribution. On their sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that store-keeper Abdul Rahim Dar resident of Sholipora in connivance with other officials is misappropriating the supplies meant for public distributions. A case FIR NO: 316/2013 under section 420, 409-RPC, 3/8, E.C. Act was registered in this regard. More arrests are expected in the case, the spokesman added. |
