| Fake employment racket surfaces, case registered in Doda | | Social Welfare Society dupes unemployed youth | | Akshay Azad Jammu, Sept 3: The dual policy of Jammu and Kashmir Police can be well gauged from the fact that it frequently organizes press conferences following arrest of bovine smugglers, but same police have failed to aware public and especially the job aspirants about fake job racket of Social Welfare Society, against which a case is already registered at district Doda. These days majority of photostat shop owners across Jammu city are looting job aspirants by selling application forms of Social Welfare Society. As per advertisement being sold by photostat shop owners, a fake agency under the name of Social Welfare Society (SWS), claimed to be registered by Government of India, has invited applications for Rural Banking Health Awareness and programme for planning Co-ordination in Jammu and Kashmir for a total of 5109 posts of different grades. These posts include 30 posts of Modal Officer with salary of 13200-18700, 73 posts of District Programme Officer with salary 11500-16600, 450 posts of Block Supervisor with salary 9500-14000, 560 posts of Computer Assistant, 3443 posts of Panchayat Mitra and 553 posts of Class IV orderlies. The last date of filling the application form is September, 5, 2013 and these application forms are available in majority of Photostat shops, located outside city colleges and University across Jammu province and their sale is at its peak these days. A M.Phill scholar Rajesh Singh informed Early Times that after filling three separate application forms, when he went to submit them on mentioned address of Jammu, SWS Jalalabad Chake Sunjwan Road, near Bus-stand Sunjwan Jammu, he found that there was no office there. "During discussion, locals informed me that it was a fake job racket and police has arrested one person", the applicant said. He further said that thousands of application form has been sold by Photostat shop owners at the rate of Rs. 10 per form, besides photocopies of various certificates were also submitted by them. "The qualification is 8th, 10th, 12th and Graduation, so one applicant is at least filling two or three forms, and in this way Photostat shop owners are looting per student by Rs. 40 -60 but no action has been taken against them by police", he said. "More than one lakh forms have been sold by Photostat shop owners in last few days and in this way they have looted Rs. 50 Lakh from job aspirants", he claimed. Moreover, on the application form the fake job racket mastermind has also given two more addresses for submission of application forms at SWS Near/Opposite ARTO Office Doda and SWS Near/opposite Employment Exchange Matra Ramban. When contacted Sunjwan Police Post incharge, Inayat Ali said that a complaint was registered at Doda and one person was arrested by a team of Doda police from Sunjwan area. "You can contact Doda police, they can give you better information", he said. SSP Doda, Arif Rishu informed that a case has been registered against fake job racket Social Welfare Society, and masterminds have been arrested. |
