| Bids of bovine smuggling foiled, two held | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Sept 3: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, in two separate incidents during the intervening night of Sept 2/3, Police foiled the bid to smuggle bovines out of District towards Kashmir with the arrest of two bovine smugglers and rescued 22 animals. The accused have been identified namely as Sajjad Hussain S/o Talib Hussain R/o Chabdee Dandi Bhalla and Ghulam Nabi s/o Abdul Gani Malik R/o Bharath. As per police reports following specific inputs about bovine smuggling, the police laid nakas and thus foiled the bids to smuggle bovines out of District towards Kashmir and rescued 22 animals in two different incidents. Reports said police recovered a total of 22 animals (10 from Bhalla and 12 from Bhagla Bharath) during the nakas falling under the jurisdictions of Police Post Bhalla of P/S Bhaderwah and Police Station Doda respectively. Police while foiling the smuggling bids also had arrested two bovine smugglers identified namely as Sajjad Hussain S/o Talib Hussain R/o Chabdee Dandi Bhalla arrested in case FIR No.150/2013 u/s 188 RPC at Police Station Bhaderwah and Ghulam Nabi S/o Abdul Gani Malik R/o Bharath arrested in case FIR No.243/2013 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA of Police Station Doda respectively. |
