REASI, Sept 3: Reasi zone girls clinched the inter-zone district level under-19 kabaddi title beating their counterparts from Pouni zone by a margin of seven points with final score being 38-31 at Government High School, Kambal Danga, here today.
However, in kho-kho final, Reasi zone lost to girls' from Arnas zone by five (11-06) points.
In the two-day competition, Block Development Officer Reasi, Tina Mahajan was chief guest while Headmaster Government High School Kambal Danga, Romal Singh was guest of honor.
Speaking to the participants, Mahajan encouraged them and emphasized on more female participation in the sports activities. She asked the young girls to work hard so as to achieve the desired goals in life.
The Headmaster of the host school also spoke to the gathering and blessed the girl participants. The competition was organised under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi, Dr Swaran Singh Chib. |
