Rajouri, Sept 3: Commanding Officer Corps Military Police (CMP) today had a narrow escape while his driver was crushed to death by a speeding bus at Seema Chowk near police station today morning.
As per reports, "Commanding Officer Military Corps had a hair line escape when he after purchasing some computer accessories from M/S Manjeet Computers at Seema Chowk boarded in his gypsy parked outside the shop. "At about 10 am CO came out of the shop and his driver along with one non commissioned officer (Subedar Major) kept the purchase in the gypsy, reports said further adding, "the driver was hit when he came to close the rear window and was hit by speedy bus crushing him to death," . The deceased has been identified as Naik Sukh Dev Singh. The concerned Police have registered a case against the driver Mushtaq Ahmed resident of Thanamandi under sections 304A and 279 RPC. "The accused driver jumped out of vehicle and disappeared taking advantage of large crowd at the accident spot, reports said. Meanwhile after legal formalities the body was handed over to the unit. |
