Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 18: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri impressed upon the State Chief Minister, to make early arrangement for clearing the outstanding dues of employees, daily rated workers, pensioners and other sections of the society pending in treasuries for months together. Addressing a meeting of NMC activists at Gandhi Nagar, Shastri said that it was surprising that payment of the bills and others dues of the employees, pensioners and other were pending because of paucity of funds in the treasuries. NMC leader pointed out that even the payment of bills of GP funds, 3rd installment of 6th pay commission arrears are not been cleared so far although this amount is hard earned money of the salaried class and pensioners. This situation, he said, speaks volumes about the non-functioning of the concerned department. Shastri hoped that the Chief Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary Finance will "realize the difficulties of the salaried class/pensioners and take necessary immediate steps to redress the difficulties of employees and pensioners at the earliest". |
