KATHUA, Sept 18: To make arrangements for ensuing Navratra festival, District Development Commissioner, Kathua Jitendra Kumar Singh today convened a meeting of district officers here today.
The DDC discussed all the necessary arrangements to facilitate the smooth conduct of the yatra at different shrines and temples of the district, Kathua. DDC directed the Medical Department to ensure paramedics and essential drugs at the base camp, midway and at the destination of Yatra routes. He directed PDD to make proper power supply for Mandir, Shrines and on the yatra routes.
He also directed PHE department to ensure timely cleaning of reservoirs and chlorination of water, and further directed to check that all water connections are functional and to install new temporary water points wherever required. DDC constituted a committee headed by Assistant Director, CAPD, Tehsildar and SHO (concerned ), Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, Food Safety Officer to randomly check before and during the Navratras the quality of eatables along with their rates, and ensure that rate lists of each essentials commodities at the shops so that the shopkeepers may not over charge from the customers. |
