| Rajput Sabha demands CBI probe in Kishtwar violence | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Sept 18: Shri Amar Kashtrya Rajput Sabha here today demanded CBI probe into August 9, 2013 violence in Kishtwar resulted into the death of three persons, besides wide spread loot and arson of public and government property in a meeting under chairmanship of its President Vijay Kumar Wazir. In a press statement issued today, Rajput Sabha Kishtwar discussed various issues related to recent Kishtwar riots and termed that August 9 riots is not a clash between the Hindu and Muslim communities, but added that the clashes were between the nationalist and anti nationalist forces. While speaking on this occasion, various speakers demanded immediate release of all the innocent youths arrested by the police including some police personals who had no direct or indirect role in the said riots and demanded action against the real culprits. The speakers said that the administration and police fail to protect the life and property of the people. They also demanded the compensation at par to the losses for the effected traders and compensation for those who lost their lives or got injured in the said clashes. They also said that the probe initiated by the SIT constituted by the government is not acceptable to all among the minority community. All the participants also decided not to take part in any meeting called by the administration till administration did not stop arresting the innocent youths from minority community. |
