| ITI Employees' delegates demand early redressal of problems | | | Et Report
Jammu, Sept 18: J&K ITI Employees United Front delegates headed by Nazir Ahmed Molvi state president met minister for Technical Education J&K, Vikas Rasool Wani and had detailed discussion on the long pending genuine demands These included holding of DPC meetings on regular basis. They demanded DPC meeting of state level / Kashmir division to be held at an early date as also the DPCs of gazetted and non-gazetted cadres to makes posts lien free and clear the pending promotions by filling up of the vacant posts of joint directors, deputy director Jammu, sr. scale principal, superintendents, principals, supervisors, surveyors, JEs and technical assistants and also the ministerial staff viz. section officers / head assistants / senior assistants and junior assistants permanently or atleast in the stop gap arrangement immediately. Recruitment rules of different categories referred to the administrative department a few years back need to look into afresh to incorporate the changes in the scenario since and to include all categories and existing / new entrant vocational instructors in the specific grades 6500-10500 pre-revised. Examination cell of ITI sector should be established in the Directorate by filling up the identified pots of deputy director for the purpose. The cell should be created as per the guideline of NCVT. Regularization of all adhoc/ contractual /academic/ consolidated employees who have completed seven year service in accordance with set rule / SRP 2555. Those who do not qualify SRO-255 be regularized on the analogy of Rehbar-e-Taleem teacher within a fixed time frame. Instructors should be frequently deputed for refresher courses. For the purpose the establishment of Advance Training Institutes (ATIs) in the state should be expedited. Enhancement of salary of academic/ consolidated/ contractual lecturers & vocational instructors atleast to the basic pay with grade pay or to Rs. 12,000 per month. The delegation urged upon the Secretary/Director Technical Education to consider long pending genuine demands on priority basis.Malik and J.P. Singh assured the delegation appropriate action and the demands will be taken shortly. |
