Jammu, Sept 18 : Sleuths of Income Tax department conducted surveys at a noted business establishment on Jammu Akhnoor road at Talba Tillo today. As per reports, Income Tax department following complaints that the owners of Bikano restaurant evaded filing his income tax return, conducted surveys at the business establishment. During the survey that went on for about six hours, IT sleuths seized incriminating documents including bank account books, pass books and ATM cards besides credit cards. The scrutiny of the documents is on to access the quantum of tax evasion.
Earlier also sleuths of Income Tax department conducted simultaneous raids at the business establishments and residences of jewelers in Jammu which included Talla Jewellers, Suri Jewllers,Vijay Jewellers, Roshan Shah Jewllers and Silver line and recovered Rs 9 crore from the defaulters. |
