JAMMU, Sept 18: Tightening its noose against the habitual encroachers, a team of J&K Housing Board conducted an anti-encroachment drive along Green Belt strip in Gandhi Nagar and adjoining areas here today.
Led by Managing Director Ram Pal Sharma, the team of J&K Housing Board comprising Collector, J&K Housing Board and other Khilafwarzi staff conducted the along Green Belt strip from Last Morh to Asia crossing.
During the drive, all the encroachments stand removed and strict warning was issued on spot not to encroach upon the land of J&K Housing Board, otherwise strict action as warranted under law shall be initiated. MD Sharma also issued directions to both the Khilafwarzi officers to submit weekly report regarding action taken to remove illegal encroachments.
The drive was carried out under the directions issued by the Minister for Housing, Raman Bhalla. The action taken by Managing Director, J&K Housing Board was highly appreciated by the public at large.
