| ‘Ragging Act’ discussed at Bhaderwah campus | | | early times report Bhaderwah, Sept 18: In continuation of observing National Plan of Action for the month of September 2013 a legal awareness camp cum interactive session was held on the direction of M K Sharma (District and Sessions Judge Bhaderwah) chairman District Legal Service Authority Bhaderwah at Govt Degree College Bhaderwah under the chairmanship of Kamlesh Pandit Sub-Judge (Chairman Tehsil legal Services committee Bhaderwah). On this occasion the students of the college were made aware about the provisions of prohibition of Ragging Act 2011, specifically the panel provisions of the said act. The college authorities were also made aware about the mandatory provision provided in this Act itself for thorough displaying of anti ragging squads and supervisory committee to be existing in the college and the manner and procedure of dealing with the complaint by the Head of the institution. The principal of the college was exhorted upon to conduct such awareness camps in the college at different intervals to avoid any type of ragging incidents. The programme was attended among others by the principal and staff members of the college and also president Bar Association, Bhaderwah.
