| Rs 5500 imposed for violating traffic, PCB norms | | | early times reort Kathua, Sept 18: In order to promote the safe and secured driving and check the violations of driving norms, a joint checking naka was placed by the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) and Pollution Control Board (PCB) at National Highway, Barwal Morh Kathua here today during which a fine of Rs 5500 from those who were violating pollution norms. According to official spokesperson, the naka was carried under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Salim Manhas who was accompanied by Inspector Surinder Kumar and Inspector Shami Kapoor and other staff members of Pollution Control Bureau (PCB). During the naka checking, atleast 20 vehicles were verified and inspected, spokesperson said further adding, "the team imposed a fine upto the tune of Rs 5500/- from those who were violating various norms of MVD and pollution norms.' |
