Bogus rehabilitation package unacceptable to KPs: KPC
9/20/2013 9:37:55 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 20 : Action Taken Report of Parliamentary Standing Committee related to Kashmiri Pandit migrants is nothing more than an eye wash and to hoodwink the community. This was stated by veteran leader of Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) Kundan Kashmiri today. He said that KPC is taking this issue sincerely and is entirely rejecting the phony publicized package of rehabilitation which is misleading the community with the helping hand of certain vested interest people. He further said and warned that smell of conspiracy against the community will not be tolerated anymore and construction of clusters for the settlement of 300 to 400 migrant families is not way out for explanation by the government.
There are more than seven lakh exterminated families from Kashmir in 1990, who are still spread across the country. Devoid of sincere and proper way of rehabilitation of unfortunate exodus families at their own native place the present rehabilitation policy meant for KP migrants is entirely deceitful and fraud, he added. He expressed his shock over this wicked act of behavior against such peaceful loving community who still pays for the national integration and said that no one will be permitted to have fun or to play with the sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits in the name of bogus rehabilitation package.
KPC chief stated that return of KPs would be possible only at consolidated portion of land under the complete writ of Indian constitution and with all constitutional and basic rights and privileges.
KP community in no way allows to waste their twenty five years long struggle nor would succumb under the gimmicks of selfish elements, he said.
