| DF, SS to launch joint protest against CAPD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 20 : Dogra Front(DF) and Shiv Sena (SS) will launch a massive protest on 25 September against the failure of the distribution system of the CAPD. The workers of the Dogra Front and Shiv Sena Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta took out a procession from Rani Park which concluded at City Chowk by holding utensils in their hands against the non availability of rice with the dealers as CAPD department has not been supplying rice to the dealers even though they have deposited the money with the government. The current quota of sugar for the people has been supplied to the dealers but in some remote areas the dealers are only giving 200gms against the 700gms of sugar fixed by the government. The People of Krishna Nagar, Rehari , Satwari, Old Janipur, Bahgwati Nagar, Bahu Fort are been deprived of sugar by the dealers as they have not deposited the money with the CAPD for sugar and they are mongering among the people that the sugar is not available with the department and by depriving the sugar to the people the dealers want to black market it, he alleged . Gupta stated that sugar should be immediately provided to the areas of R.S Pura, Samba, Kathua, Hira Nagar, Maad Block, Bahlwal, Rajouri, Reasi as they have been starving for the sugar since long. The inflation in the country is at its Peak. . People are unable to bear the burden of inflation and the economy seems to have stagnated. The government has also failed to check rampant corruption, Gupta said. Food security bill has been passed by the Govt of India to provide rice, flour, pulses sugar to the poor people at a very cheap rate so that they don't have to starve for the food but on the contrary the CAPD department is not supplying ration to the people which shows the callousness on the part of the J&K govt and a complete treachery on its part. Gupta warned the people who are involved in the act of black marketing that if this unlawfull process is not stopped then Dogra Front and Shiv Sena will take the matter in their own hands and the end result will be on the shoulders of the Department and the culprits.
