JAMMU, Oct 2: Police today arrested two persons and seized 80 pouches of country made liquor from their possession at Gharota.
Based on reliable information, the Police laid a surprised naka at Gharota and during checking it intercepted one Tavera vehicle bearing Registration No JK 20-1820.
During thorough search of the vehicle, 80 pouches (250 ml each) of country made (JK Excise) liquor were recovered from the two accused driven by one Sanjay Kumar son of Dharam Chand of Sole Reasi and Lalu Kumar son of Bansi Lal of Katra.
A case FIR No. 86/13 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused persons and further investigation is going on. |
