JAMMU, Oct 2: In the ongoing "Display Your Talent" 2013-14 organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, the competitions for Light Vocal (Solo) were held today. Sumit Kumar from Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) Jammu, fetched the first prize while the second prize was shared by Aproova Jamwal from Department of Economics, University of Jammu and Chaman Lal from Shri Vaishno Devi College of Education. The third prize was also shared by Sargam Sharma from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammu and Diksha Kumari from Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The lonely Certificate of Merit was awarded to Anjusha B Sharma from Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The participants presented Dogri, Punjabi and Hindi songs, besides Ghazals and Folk Songs. Nand Kishore Pal, Jatinder Singh and Balbir Chand Beera were the adjudicators for the event. Prof. Kuldeep. K. Sharma, Head, Department of Zoology, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, distributed the prizes amongst the winners. |
