| MEF holds protest at DH Samba, demands arrest of culprits | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 2: Medical Employees Federation (MEF) today held a protest demonstration against the assault on CMO Samba District Hospital and other paramedic staff by relatives of a deceased who died of dengue fever demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and holding of an enquiry committee at DH Samba.
As per press release, members of MEF appealed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to provide security to doctors and staff of district hospitals so that doctors and paramedical staff including female doctors and health workers could work properly round the clock in a congenial atmosphere. They said Pooja Sambyal resident of Mandi Thaloora, Samba who suffered from dengue fever died in Ludhiana, later the relatives of the deceased gathered at hospital premises and ransacked the furniture and attacked on the doctors and other staff present on the occasion as a result CMO received multiple injuries who is still under treatment in Government Medical College Jammu. |
