Ayurvedic doctors of Jammu not being considered under AYUSH, NRHM schemes

Jammu, Oct 2: The meeting of the Unemployed Ayurvedic BAMS doctors Association Jammu was held today.
The doctors passed a resolution to hold a massive protest demonstration on 4 October, Friday, out side the press club and in Jammu.
"Unemployed Ayurvedic BAMS doctors Association" expressed great surprise that if the meritorious highly qualified ISM Ayuruveda doctors are unemployed than who is getting the Govt Jobs.
Association alleged that there is no one to heed to the problems of the unemployed ISM Ayurveda BAMS doctors of the Jammu region.
Shri Kant chairman said that the Ayurvedic doctors of Jammu region are not being observed under the AYUSH and NRHM scheme of the union health ministry under the guide lines of the union health minister Gulam Nabi Azad.
Dr Sahil demanded immediate advertisement of the posts for the ISM Ayuruveda doctors as the meritorious doctors have received these degrees after great struggle and hard work and after their parents spend large amount on this costly education.
Dr Sahil requested the union Health minister Gulam Nabi Azad and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for their intervention as the strength of the unemployed BAMS doctors is growing day by day.
Dr Sahil said the Ayurvedic doctors of Jammu region are not being considered under the AYUSH and NRHM schemes of the union health ministry as no posts have been created and advertised for the last many years and only if any one has been recruited the have been appointed from the back door entry.
He demanded the chief minister and the health minister Shabir Khan to advertise the posts of the Ayuruvedic doctors as there is lot of resentment among the Ayurvedic meritorious doctors of the Jammu region.
He warned the Govt that they will intensify the agitation and demanded that there should be separate directorate for the ISM Ayurveda and the ISM director should be an Ayurvedic doctor and not Unani doctor.
Dr Sahil Pandoh president appealed all the doctors to assemble in large number out side the press club on Friday, 4 October, with their all class mates in large number and appealed all the ISM Ayuruvedic doctors of all the districts to remain united to fight for the justice.
The meeting was attended by Dr Kapil, Dr Amit, Dr Malik, Dr Tanvi Gupta, Dr Abbha, Dr Amit Gupta, Vishal Sharma. Dr Devinder, Dr Narain, Dr Depti Dogra, Dr Ankula, Dr Ruchika Raina, Dr Pooja, Dr Sakshi Bakshi, Dr Monika, Dr Neena, Dr Vidush, Dr Anjali, Dr Dr Parm Deep,singh, Dr Aman, Dr Sonam and many others.

Doctors demanded the chief minister Omar Abdullah and the health minister Shabir Khan to hold the inquiry of both these departments that how many ISM Ayurvedic doctors has been recruited by these directors ISM and the NRHM in the last 5 years of his Govt and the position of the funds allocated and used by these directorates in the last five years.
Dr Sahil demanded the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to constitute the separate directorate for the Ayurveda and the UNANI doctors and their directors should be Ayurveda and UNANI doctors for the justice to the Ayurveda and the UNANI doctors.
