| Roop Ngr Welfare Committee hails appointments of Khajuria, Wattal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5 : Hailing the appointments of new Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Kuldeep Khajuria and Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kiran Wattal, the Upper Roop Nagar Sector 4 Residents' Welfare Committee pinned hope that with their taking over the jobs the colony now can experience overall development.
In a meeting of the Committee chaired by its president, Narinder Sharma, the members demanded immediate repairs/renovations/ shingling of the Water Reservoir- Janipur road leading via front of the residential house of Dr Roop Lal Sharma and the main dividing roads of sectors 7 and 8 for smooth traveling facilities of devotees visiting the sacred Aap Shambhu temple.
It was strongly felt the need for repairs of this ever busy road. Particularly during holy Navratras and Shivratri festivals and everyMonday rush of devotees increases. It was also stressed for executing repairs of interior roads of Sector 4, as these were not taken up for repairs for long times.
Members also expressed concern over non-deployment of matador service on the road starting from Fire Brigade Office side to Sector 9 and due to this people residing on this part of the road side are feeling handicapped. |
