| Many big wigs likely to join, important convention on Oct 30 | | `Third Front has many surprises for people' | | Javaid Naikoo SRINAGAR, Oct 5: With two largest regional parties National Conference (N.C) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) seeking public support for 2014 Assembly elections, newly formed Third Front is likely to shock the present political set up of Kashmir. The Front expects some prominent political faces to join soon. Front office bearers disclosed that important politicians working at key positions in Delhi and Jammu Kashmir are in touch and have expressed willingness to join. They added that the Third Front shall be given a proper name shortly. Founder members, Yousuf Tarigami, Muzafar Shah, Sanjay Saraf and Abdul Rehman Tukroo told Early Times that two important conventions are likely to be held in Srinagar and Jammu. "These conventions will add a new chapter to Jammu Kashmir politics," they said. Muzafar Shah said the Front is not to counter the present political set up. "We do not believe in coalition with PDP, Congress or National Conference. It will be a political place for young, honest and reliable politicians of Kashmir whose economic assets and other dealings will be kept open for general public," he said. Sanjay Saraf and Shah said that Third Front as a political party will emphasize and fight for the equal opportunities for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, besides menace of unemployment, drug addiction and a corruption free Government. |
