early times report Jammu, Oct 5: A two days sub regional social science exhibition at three venues Srinagar, Sunjuwan and Pathankot, in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region concluded today. According to press release, about eighteen hundred students from the Kendriya Vidyalayas of KVS Jammu Region hailing from J&K State, Himachal Pardesh and Punjab participated in this programme. Closing Ceremony at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Pathankot was conducted after the completion of different competitions. AS Gill, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Naveen Choudhary GE, MES, AFS, Pathankot was the Guest of Honour whereas PL Dhiman, Principal, K V No.2, Pathankot was the Guest of Honour. The guests were welcomed by the Venue Principal JD Guru. Guru presented brief report of the event, about five hundred fifty students from sixteen Vidyalayas, participated in this event. A cultural programme was presented by the Vidyalaya students. AS Gill distributed prizes and certificates among the students. Different Models, Projects, Skit, Group Song and Folk Dance items were selected for participation in the Regional Social science Exhibition to be conducted at K V No.2, Pathankot on 8th of October, 2013. Speaking on this occasion Gill said that such programmes give ample opportunities to the students. He added that these activities add to the performance of the students and develop a sense of sharing with others. He further said that KVS has achievements of going ahead of other organizations in performing its services in the field of academics and co-curricular activities. He applauded the presentations made by the students and the show put up by the Vidyalaya. |
