| Police arrests husband for allegedly killing his wife | | | ET Report
Rajouri, Oct 5: In a suspicious death of 55 years old woman mother of 6 children the police had arrested husband of the deceased following complaint lodged by the son indicting his father in the said killing, police sources said. Meanwhile police has started inquest proceedings in this regard.The incident took place in village Bhindi Jamola falling under the jurisdiction of Rajouri Police Station on Friday and after the complaint received from the son of deceased police have taken her husband in its custody and have started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC.In his complaint Vipin Kumar alleged that his mother Tosh Devi, (55) was strangulated to death by his father Kewal Krishan at their residence. Before the police rushed to the spot and took custody of body however the accused Kewal Krishan managed to give slip to the police. Meanwhile after legal formalities body was handed over to the family for her last rites. The accused Kewal Krishan who was present in the hospital was also arrested by the police following the complaint of his son, police said. Complainant Vipin Kumar also had alleged that for the last few years his father was constantly alleging his mother that she had some illicit relations with a person from adjoining village. 'She had took the matter to the women cell but police failed to take any action, Vipin said and added that on Friday when he returned from school he found her mother dead in the house while father was missing. Varinder Gupta, SHO Rajouri said that the woman had died in suspicious circumstances and has started inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC. |
