Jammu, Oct 22: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and All Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Intellectual circle and other Sikh organization have demanded from state government to punish stone pelters who killed Sikh driver in Kashmir valley.
According to press release, SAD president JS Mangal said, "While driving his official police vehicle from Srinagar to his headquarters at Barmulla, an irate mob of stone pelting youth had caused instant the death of Kanwal Nain Singh on 16th October near Pattan, leaving behind young spouse and tiny kids of Kanwal Singh".
He further demanded the identification of the perpetrators of the heinous crime and exemplary punishment to the guilty under due process of law. "At least Rs. 5lakh compensation should be given to the kins of deceased, along with government jobs to his widow", he said.
Mohinder Singh , Gurdev Singh, Ram Singh, Hrmanan Singh, Manmohan Singh, Makhan Singh , and Dr. Manbhajn Singh were present on the occasion. |
