| Finally Shinde will take Omar to border villages | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 21: Finally the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah will visit the border areas where families were forced to migrate to safer places following shelling from across the border. Omar, however, will not be visiting he affected areas on his own. He will be accompanying the Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde. Omar thus shall be performing protocol duty rather than to fulfil the obligations cast on him by his office. Home Minister will assess the situation as per his perspective brief in taking measures to stop this misadventurism of the Pakistan and also brief the prime minister about the ground situation. Home minister is coming precisely because International Border is guarded by the BSF, which is under the command of Home Ministry. Omar Abdullah doesn't have to perform this kind of brief. He is not in a position to give brief to the BSF nor can he take any action which is aimed at Pakistan. He has only suggested how things can be done by India, but that's job of Central Government not that of J&K Government. Chief Minister today said that he has directed four Cabinet Ministers to visit the border villages. But, the Cong Ministers have been visiting the affected areas to help the victims. The main concern of the people of the border areas is security and migration to places where they can live in peace and also get the basic amenities of life. These are the area under the command the chief minister and this is what he has failed to do so, and the doubts are being raised if this is a deliberate ploy. |
